Shelley qualified from Edinburgh’s Telford College in 2013. She trained and worked in a first opinion mixed practice in Aberdeenshire for 5 years before she went on her travels! On her return home Shelley started her referral career at Aberdeen Veterinary Referrals. Here she found her love for orthopaedics, neurology and intensive care. Throughout her nursing career she has volunteered at a shelter in Sri Lanka and worked as a nurse in a referral hospital in New Zealand which was one of her highlights. For the 3 years prior to joining VSS, she was a locum nurse at different practices around the country which has given her experience in all aspects of her profession.
Shelley recently moved to Edinburgh from the North and loves it here although she is sorely missing her family dog Blu who is back home. Any chance she gets she’s jetting off to a new country to keep fulfilling her passion of travel (Covid permitting). She is a very social girl who is very active and rarely not doing something whether it’s meeting friends or playing rugby.
